[New Release] RoboRiot

July 2nd, 2012 -- Posted by Endymian

RoboRiot is a brand new game just released by… us! We debuted it at the Conflagration Gaming Convention here a while ago.

It is for 3 to 6 players, takes about 15 minutes per player, and is recommended for ages 12+

RoboRiot is a light, family-friendly card game.

In RoboRiot you are competing with the other players in the Worldwide RoboRiot Tournament, in which Robot Engineers such as yourself are tossed into an arena full of mismatched Robot pieces. Your job is to scramble to put together the best bot you can, as quickly as you can, and hope it is strong enough to beat all of the others. If you win, you gain Medals. If you lose, you forfeit medals. Be the player with the most medals when one or more players runs out of them to claim victory!

In a draw-one-discard-one fashion, you are trying to be the first player to build a complete robot out of the random parts in the arena. But be careful, because you don’t want to give anyone else too much time that they can do it first, so on your turn you can instead “Launch” your bot with the parts you have, even if they are mismatched, and hope to get the highest score to win the round.

It’s a blast, and kids love it. My kids helped me with some of the robot design as well.

It is available NOW at TheGameCrafter, also also check it out at our sister site GUGames.
