Gamer's University – Updated More than Never!

[Updates] Lots of stuff!

May 29th, 2012 -- Posted by Endymian

There has been so much going on and I haven’t been able to write about it all, so here we go, shotgun-style!

Phoenix Comicon was this previous weekend and it’s been exhausting but a lot of fun. Got a chance to speak to Wil Wheaton ever so briefly about TableTop, so we’ll see if anything comes out of that. (for any of the ten thousand people who were at the panel, yes, that was me.) It was a blast and I’m looking forward to next year where I will most likely be dressed up.

Diablo 3 is out! Why aren’t you playing it? I have been! Just finished normal and I am surprised about how fast it went. Looking forward to the higher difficulties. So far the Auction House has been a great thing, of course the real money AH isn’t ready yet, neither is PVP, and the game has some bugs and other issues…but that will all be taken care of. Also concerned about what the story arc is going to be for the obligatory expansion. I would also like to see more socketables (Like Jewels, and what happened to Diamonds and Skulls?). Makes me wonder how well Torchlight 2 is going to stack up.

Cards Against Humanity. Do you enjoy Apples to Apples but are disappointed at the lack of four-letter words and references to clown rape? Then this game is for you!! Sadistically brilliant, it’s Apples to Apples for bastards and there is no better gift ever if you are a goon or if you are simple “from the internet”.  Inconveniently, it is constantly out of stock due to how awesome it is, re-supplies sell out in a matter of hours. But! There is a print-and-play version that is FREE and just as hilarious.

Online poker is still alive and well despite all the legal f**kery that’s been going along with it, which has pretty much kept me from playing for the last year. But this was recently brought to my attention again: http://www.partypoker.tv/ is still around, it was pretty much the first site I ever played at.

Hm, what else… We’re going to be appearing at a convention soon, but more on that later. There may also be some releases in the very near future as well, and some big announcements to go with it. It’s under wraps for now, but stay tuned!

Have a great week!
